Apple Maps is finally useable.
With an update, Apple’s Maps features are not only coming to third-party developers (if you want to book a table at a restaurant, for instance), but is getting a lot more contextual.
Do you want to be a cryptocurrency millionaire?
Don't get your hopes up.
A new layout will help you find the right kind of restaurant, if you’d rather have a specific type of food. Once you’re on your way, Maps now tells you about things like gas stations that are on your route, and if you’ll extend your travel time for stopping too long.
And — finally — Maps lets you scroll ahead when driving so you can see more of the route. It also cleverly zooms in and out; if you’re on a long straight-away, Maps will zoom out to show you more, while a tight turn in the city zooms in tight.
Really, it’s a lot more like Google Maps. Finally.
