Apple wins iPod & iTunes antitrust case

Apple wins iPod & iTunes antitrust case

A court case alleging that Apple deleted rivals’ songs from user iPods in order to stifle competition to iTunes was today won by the company.

The court case has been a rollercoaster ride, even losing all plaintiffs at one point before getting a new one and featured plaintiffs arguing that Apple colluded with Amazon.

Today, a jury unanimously cleared Apple of all antitrust violations for restrictions on the iPod, bringing a case that’s strung over a decade to a close.
