Apple is testing two-step verification for

Over a year after rolling out two-step verification for Apple ID accounts, Apple has added the process for some users of its Web apps, according to AppleInsider.

The new setup places a lock icon over all iCloud apps except Find My iPhone, assuming that you already have two-factor authentication in place. You’ll need to get the four-digit verification code from an approved device in order to unlock apps like Mail, Pages and Calendar.


We’ve reached out to Apple to ask whether it plans to make this available to all accounts.
