Apple announces line-up for its iTunes Festival in London this September

Apple announces line-up for its iTunes Festival in London this September

In a dose of semi-tech related news (which will be of particular interest to music fans and UK-based readers) Apple has announced the line-up for its iTunes Festival in London this coming September.

The 60-plus acts slated to take part in the month-long string of gigs at The Roundhouse include Justin Timberlake, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jack Johnson and Jessie J.

The festival is made up of a series of performances that take place every night during September at the famous London location. The event is streamed free to iOS devices worldwide through a dedicated app, and Apple TVs.

Importantly, tickets are not available via public sale. Instead, they are given away through local competitions run across a series of countries, including US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan and Mexico to name but a few.

Those in the UK have more opportunities to win, with tickets given away via the dedicated Festival app, iTunes store and selected media partners like Channel 4, Global Radio and Metro.

You can get more details about the festival from the Apple announcement here or the website here.

PS: No word on whether Daft Punk will appear, but good luck to all who seek tickets.
