Buy Steve Jobs’ favourite books and music to donate to cancer research

If you’ve had your eye on Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now or Paramhansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi on iTunes for a while now, you’ll be glad to know that they were among Steve Jobs’ favourite albums and books respectively. And Steve’s Favorites lets you donate to cancer research by buying these, and many of his other favourite albums, books and songs from iTunes.

iOS game developer Villain has collected all of the Apple co-founders favourites that are available on the iTunes Store and put them up the Steve’s Favourites website. Click on any of the thumbnails on the page to display more details about the item in question, including a quote from Walter Isaacson’s authorised biography of Jobs where he mentions it. An affiliate link to the iTunes Store then lets you purchase it at its regular price.

Villain will be collecting all the affiliate income from this effort and donating it to cancer research, in the hope that the illness that took Jobs’ life may someday become curable. The site also provides an affiliate link to Isaacson’s book on the iBookstore, so you can go through it and get a first-hand account of all of his favourites.
