Bought an iPad just before the price drop? Apple will refund the difference

If you bought an iPad within the past two weeks, Apple just threw you a bone.

Apple’s sales team told ElectricPig that it will refund any person who bought the original iPad within the last 14 days, removing complicated returns and exchange policies by giving them the difference straight back into their pockets.

The two-week period coincides with the 14-day returns period that Apple employs on its products, so anyone who bought an iPad before the price-drop yesterday will not be able to take advantage of the refund. Customers falling within the returns period will need to bring in their receipts to receive cashback.

Many will have waited for Apple’s latest event before looking to buy an iPad, getting themselves the leaner, more powerful iPad 2. Today’s will provide little consolation to iPad owners who suddenly found themselves with a dated device after yesterdays announcement.
