Our good friends and friendly competitors ReadWriteWeb are hosting the “Read Write Real Time Web Summit” today in Mountain View, California. It has shaped up over the last few weeks to be quite the event.

The event strives to:

“*the state of the art, science and business of the real-time web
*efforts to create standards and interoperability
*challenges in user experience, technology and monetization”

The <3 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

While TheNextWeb will not be attending, we will be covering the summit remotely. The event, which begins at 8:30 PST (two hours from the release of this post) can be watched, via live Justin.tv stream here. There are oddly two hastags for the event, you can track both #rtws and #rtwsummit from search.twitter as the day progresses.

The event is being sponsored by a number of leading companies, including startup PostRank and giant WordPress. If you need even more information, they have set up an Facebook page to cover the event to the last detail. A big shout out to Marshall Kirkpatrick for putting on such an interesting event.
