Announcing TNW Magazine Issue v0.4: The Fashion Issue [Free!]

People say sometimes that beauty is only superficial. That may be so. But at least it is not so superficial as Thought is. To me, Beauty is the wonder of wonders. It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances.

-Oscar Wilde

Spring is in the air. We can feel summer just around the corner. To celebrate our love of dresses, skirts and high heels we decided to dive into the world of fashion and find out how technology is re-shaping the industry. We’ve spent the last month traveling the globe, visiting New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Los Angeles and Beijing in search of the world’s coolest companies for the May issue of The Next Web Magazine.

A few of the companies we feature in this issue include Not Just a LabelOf a Kind, Editd, Closet Rich, Shoes of Prey and Carrie Hammer. We explore custom clothing, the art of curation, geek trends and the hot fashion startups from Europe, North America and Asia. We even have two fabulous guest posts from the founders of Rent the Runway and Broke & Chic!

For this month’s issue we partnered with AHAlife, a New York City ecommerce company that delivers unique products from categories like fashion, food, beauty, accessories, home décor, tech and travel experiences right to your inbox. The site exudes “tastemaker status“, pairing a glossy editorial vibe with celebrity curators including Tim Gunn, DVF, Carmindy, Wendi Murdoch, Daniel Boulud, Bobbi Brown, Petra Nemcova, Cynthia Rowley, and Tina Brown in an attempt to cut through the noise in the online fashion world. In our issue, AHAlife founder and CEO Shauna Mei picks her top 10 gifts.

We’re delighted to say that thanks to this partnership, we’re able to offer you this issue for free. We hope to do more partnerships like this in the future. If you’re interested in sponsoring future issues please email me [email protected].
