TNW at IBC: How Pond5 is doing stock media differently [Video]

During our recent live coverage of IBC in Amsterdam, The Next Web’s Paul Sawers met Chris Hwang, Business Development Manager at stock media marketplace Pond5.

While Hwang isn’t keen on the term ‘stock’ (he believes that artists have been “screwed over” by the stock media industry in the past), he’s keen to point out what Pond5 sees as its key differentiator from rivals like iStock and Shutterstock. Hwang says that Pond5 is more ‘artist-friendly’, giving artists the power to set their own prices, and paying them a higher commission rate than rivals.
