UK web designers and developers: Get off your laptops and into the woods

A fun new event is coming to the UK tech scene –Activate is a one day event for web developers and designers to get some time with other peeps in the industry away from the office and into the great outdoors, set in a 200 acre forest in Kent. The day will be spent with activities like lake crossing, rafting, 4×4 off-road driving, a trapeze swing, orienteering, and assault courses and evenings spent having drinks and a BBQ around campfires.

The event will take place on 5 August 2011 and it’s being organized by Elliot Jay Stocks and Dan Millar of Decode.

“Working in the web industry for many of us means long days (and often nights!) spent in front of a screen. We wanted to put together an event which would get our industry friends and peers away from their desks, outside and having some fun! The result was Activate! Teamwork. Adrenaline. Prizes. Beer. BBQ. Awesomesauce,” says Millar.

MailChimp has already come on board as a sponsor. If you are interested in sponsoring the event please contact [email protected] and book your ticket quick as there are only 100 places. You can book here right now!
