Are You Afraid Of Google? A Video Explanation Of Why Some Fear The Giant
As Google matures, certain groups of internet users are becoming slightly nervous at the companies expansive size and proliferation into numerous business sectors.
Just how big is Google? Gigantic. In response to possible consumer fear of its massive size, Australian news show Hungry Beast compiled a simply amazing video-look into the company. You will not find a more fascinating clip in under three minutes anywhere else this week.
Is Google becoming larger than it should? Is it trying to be everything to everyone? Is it a monopoly? Check the clip after the jump, but put on your tin-foil hat just in case.

This is a perfect encapsulation of my hesitance to run into Google's open arms and entrust them with every bit of information about me.
When Google first started breaking ahead of the pack (and, more specifically, “Yahoo!”), I was one of the few people I knew who wasn't completely thrilled. If the government controlled as much as Google does, we'd be up in arms about it–and scared to death of the power they hold. So why should a company be any different? I think it's only a matter of time before we see if the Corporate Giant becomes a bigger help to us, or a frightening beast. They really need a competitor, and fast!

They already own me, I am theirs.
It is not because Google holds all those information on you that it will use it against you. If one day they do this, that will be the start of their shot down and they know that. With all the available existing communication tools, the word will spread quickly and people will stop using Google stuff. And obviously it is rather the opposite they want to happen. So I think Google rather looks for way to help people (and their stock value) than simply controlling people. Concerning the video, there will always be alarming people looking for the next “end of the world” thing just because it gets attention. Be realistic, we (web users) will always be stronger than any company.
This just makes me like Google even more.
Forget Google, how about your credit card company, if it can trace your past few monhts of purchases it can find out what,where,when,how you need stuffs. Isn't that enough to target an ad for you! If you can accept that, you got to accept Google privacy policy as well!
I think that the final test will be the chrome OS, then we can talk about “Gigantic”

I will adopt anything they come up with, since they are trying not to be evil. They have never disappointed me.
