Obama Administration Has Gone E-Book Reader Friendly

Obama Administration Has Gone E-Book Reader Friendly

books_kindleAs part of President Obama’s promised move to make government more accessible, the Economic Report of the President has been made available on the whitehouse.gov site in PDF, ePub, and Amazon Kindle format.

Whether you’re an environmentalist or just someone who likes convenience, this is some pretty good news. The report itself is 462 pages long, which are now 462 pages which never have to be printed.

I’m hoping that all government documents, including legislation, be made available in digital formats this way. Most drafts of the US healthcare bill are around 2000 pages long. Imagine working in government and having to lug a dozen of those around every day. It’s much easier to keep it on a laptop.
