Samsung launches a Premium Apps Store for Android in the UK

Android users in the UK now have another option for accessing apps for their smartphones and tablets, as Samsung has announced the launch of a new Premium Samsung Apps Store for Android.

The UK is one of the first countries to gain access to premium Android apps through Samsung, and there are many mobile apps and games that can be purchased on top of the current free Samsung apps download option.

The Samsung Apps Store will offer network billing in the future, meaning that any apps you purchase will be billed along with your standard network usage each month, or deducted from a pay-as-you-go SIM card balance. But for now you’ll have to pay by credit card, as is the situation on the Android Market.

Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland said:

“Anyone that signs up to Samsung Apps Store for Android today, will find a multitude of free and premium apps already available. In the spirit of providing Android users with the best possible mobile experience, it is our intention to continue to develop this premium service to ensure our customers have access to all the latest great content on Android.”

Premium apps for Android are available to UK users from today by visiting www.samsungapps.com.
