Leeds Girl Geek Dinners Continue to Grow

Leeds Girl Geek Dinners Continue to Grow

This Thursday will see the sixth event of the highly successful Girl Geek Dinners in Leeds. The dinners, held quartlerly are an opportunity for [mainly] women to connect with other like-minded workers in the IT/Digital World.

Held at the swanky SkyLounge in Leeds, the event is a chance to connect with inspirational speakers who this week will include  representation from the computer games and mobile technology industries.

Well into its second year, the Leeds Girl Geek Dinners continue to grow with greater connections and more attendees. Unlike a conference, the dinners are a chance to meet in a relaxed environment and share experiences and connections.

The Girl Geek Dinners concept was originally launched by Sarah Blow, who this week was listed by Forbes as one of the most inspirational women on Twitter. The dinners have grown into a global and local phenomenon running across the world in 21 countries from France to Japan, Canada and the USA. Local dinners have been hosted successfully in over 11 cities across England, Scotland and Wales. The estimated global community is now between 25,000 and 45,000.

Other UK Girl Geek Dinners are also taking place in Bristol on the 15th February and Manchester on the 23rd February,
