Twitter is down for some users [Update: It’s back now]

Update 2: As of roughly 2:15AM ET, Twitter resumed service worldwide.

Update: As of 1:24AM ET, Twitter seems to be returning to normal – but some status detection sites are still reporting service interruptions.

It’s not just you: Twitter appears to be down at the moment. Some users reported it roughly 20 minutes ago, at around 12:50AM ET.

The outage is affecting Twitter’s Web and mobile apps, as well as TweetDeck. While some tweets are being published, it looks like access to the service is intermittent at present.

Update 3:01 PM ET: The outage was due to a ‘networking routing misconfiguration during internal testing,’ Twitter tells Reuters.
