This morning I got an invitation for a group on Facebook titled “2012 OLYMPICS LOGO LOOKS LIKE LISA SIMPSON GIVING HEAD“.

As you can imagine that title caught my eye and made me check it out. I’m certainly not the only one as the group now has more than 250 thousand fans.

Yes, more than a quarter of a million.

I guess the people who started the group have a point too. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see what they mean. Yes, the Official logo for the London Olympics 2012 looks like, well, you know what it looks like.

So the question is; how many members does that group need before the officials behind the Olympics 2012 decide to change the logo?

You can ignore 10,000 people and maybe even 500,000 people. But can you ignore a million people? How about 10 million?

Social networking and viral marketing can be valuable, cheap and a lot of fun. Unless your logo turns out to look like two cartoon characters having sex.

Well, they do have a point you know?
