The brother of the guy making this video just had his World of Warcraft account cancelled by his mother. Just before he completely flips out in his room the cameraman plants the camera in his room. What follows… is simply indescribable.
Now before you laugh, think for a second how you would feel if your mother had taken away your MacBook Pro, iPhone 3G S or other gadget that you REALLY like. Wouldn’t you… Nah, you wouldn’t. Forget what I just wrote. This is simply insane.

Samsung releases its latest 12.2 megapixel, HD-shooting camera next week -- the WB1000. Being a Monday Morning Madness post (a weekly ritual of ours, in case you weren’t unaware), this post isn’t specifically about the camera but rather about the gadgets remarkable packaging.
Now, what we don’t know is whether this is genuine or merely a very clever viral video to attract attention to the camera -- either way, its ingenious and definitely worth a minute of your time.

This is, in my opinion at least, viral marketing at its best. I’ll let the video do the explaining, but if you manage to not visit the site afterwards – you’re a bigger man than I am.

From designer Erik De Nijs, we introduce quite possibly the geekiest jeans you’ll ever come across. With speakers built into the knees, a larger back pocket for your mouse and a joystick behind the front zipper…all this, along with the keyboard across the crotch area. If you can’t get a lady with these on, I’m not sure what to tell you…
Crispin Porter & Bogusky released a new Microsoft ad yesterday (Sunday February 8) as part of their $300 million ad campaign. It features 4 and a half year old Kylie who uses Windows Live Photo Gallery to send a picture of her fish to her parents.
It isn’t even THAT bad but I just can’t wait for the spoof ads. It is going to be so much fun putting a real 4 year old behind a PC and film that. Or maybe someone can find a two year old and put them behind a Mac? A 1 year old using an iPhone? How far can we take this?
Sometimes it pays to stay in bed on Monday, rather than spending the rest of the week debugging Monday’s code.”
— Christopher Thompson.
But in case you got up anyway here is some Monday Morning Madness to get you distracted from the work you should REALLY do. Like introducing a few new bugs in that clean code you wrote last week. Enjoy!
“My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.”
“To err is human, but for a real disaster you need a computer.”
“It is twice as difficult to debug a program as to write it. Therefore, if you put all of your creativity and effort into writing the program, you are not smart enough to debug it.”
“The only problem with troubleshooting is that sometimes trouble shoots back.”
“Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live.”
— Martin Golding.
The downside of working at The Next Web blog and conference is that everybody thinks we are very up-to-date with everything Internet related. Sure, we know about a lot but when it comes to RickRolling or the laughing baby or any other viral entertainment we generally get ignored.
I’m sure my friends think “I’m not RickRolling Boris. He probably got RickRolled TOO much”. The result is I’m often not aware of major viral videos. To tell you the truth I have NEVER even been Rickrolled before.
That is why I’m happy that someone made this great collection of some of the major viral videos of 2008. It will take a few minutes but after that you will be able to bluff you into any viral video conversation. “Lion reunited video? Yeah, saw that one. Ante up Bert and Ernie remix? Yeah hilarious. But did you see those Beyonce impersonators? Wow.”
