The EUscreen project will provide access to over 30,000 hours of digital programme content and information.

By partnering with Europeana it will create interactive functionality and dynamic links to cultural, educational and recreational resources.

Europeana already brings together 5 million digitised items from Europe’s cultural and scientific heritage organisations and is set to double this number later in 2010 when it launches its fully operational service. The EUscreen TV portal will be added to the service in 2011.

EUscreen is part of a three year project funded by the European Commission. Co-ordinated by the University of Utrecht, the team consists of 27 partners from 19 European countries and includes research institutions and technology providers.

You can follow the EUscreen project on Twitter and on Facebook.
