This video explains how space rays could kill us all

Walking around Earth just got a bit scarier.

You might not have known, but falling asteroids aren’t the only way to die a space-induced death. Thanks to Kurzgesagt, you now also have a reason to constantly fear invisible rays!

Extremely energetic explosions happening in other galaxies have a profound effect — they send bursts of gamma rays shooting around, destroying ozone layers in its way. If we’re unlucky enough to have one hit our Milky Way, life on earth might be over before we know it.

As always, Kurzgesagt is able to bring the bad news in a beautifully designed video, animated in 60 FPS for our viewing pleasure.

It’s just weird to think we could go extinct just while watching it.
