Bill Nye celebrates Star Wars Day by explaining the science of holograms with emojis

That Bill Nye sure knows how to stay current with today’s trends. In collaboration with General Electric, our favorite Science Guy has will now help explain basic science concepts in the language millennials know best: emojis.

Naturally, since the project kicks off on May the Fourth (aka Star Wars Day,) the first video of the series helps explain the science of holograms. Different emojis are dispersed throughout the text for maximum trendiness.

While Instagram claims the ? emoji is the currently most used emoticon on its the app, we’ll be curious to see which one gets the most love from Nye. In the meantime, you can visit the Emoji Science website and request a free poster of the periodic table complete with, well, take a wild guess.
