Remember the app developing 6th grader from #TEDx? See what he’s up to now

Last November, we posted an amazing TED Talk given by an app developing, entrepreneurial 6th grader named Thomas Suarez.

Suarez, who’s not even old enough to have a Facebook account, has been fascinated by computers and technology since before kindergarten. He’s established his own company, CarrotCorp, has made two iOS apps that are currently in the App Store and is now a MakerBot operator!

New York, are you ready?

We’re building Momentum: an all killer, no filler event this November.

MakerBot, the company out of NYC led by geek and world-renowned tinkerer Bre Pettis recently released its latest 3D printer called “The MakerBot Replicator”. This morning, the folks at MakerBot sent us over this great video of Suarez playing around with the new printer at the startup’s NYC offices. Suarez’s spirit and smarts continue to inspire us
