The AP reports: “Obasm.” Yep, that’s it. Cue the innuendo jokes

The AP just issued what might be the funniest news article of all time. The bulletin has a normal, AP-ish headline: “Obama says he remains confident health care law will be upheld by high court.” But then things went off the rails. As screenshotted by the lovely PoliticalWire, this is what the AP put out:

Now, to the good part. That’s not your average typo. No sir. Obasm is a slang word. Can you guess what it means? I bet you can. Either way, from Urban Dictionary:

“The pleasure that a liberal-leaning journalist gets when writing a fawning story about U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). An ‘obasm’ is a story so gushy and so fluffy, bereft of objectivity, that one imagines having to clean up after the writer with a mop and bucket.”

Yes sir. And the AP put it out. Looks like someone put an intern at the switch. And they were a bit twitchy on the posting finger.
