Sitting is Killing You

that’s really not a very scientific research… and based on this we can never say that actually “sitting” is the cause for all of that – increase in death rate or obesity etc.

there’s never a third variable taken in consideration for example a reason for why we sit more in front of TV could be because TV material got more interesting or that there are more TVs on the market and why obesity doubled at that time could simply be because we eat more sweets or fast food has gotten more popular.

people working in a sitting-job could, for example, be experiencing more stress than people in standing-jobs, which could lead to a higher rate of cardiovascular disease ETC ETC…..

Correlation is not the same as causation. Sitting is not killing us; the lack of exercise is. Using your logic I could just as easily say reading is killing me because I normally sit while I read. Very poor logic.
