Egg Style House as a Cheap Housing Option in Beijing

As a recent grad from Architecture school, Dai Haifei didn’t want to pay Beijing’s expensive rent. Instead, he conceived and produced his own “egg house” positioning on the street near his work studio where he works. His “egg house,” made out of juta sacks, bamboo splints, sawdust and growing grass seeds for warmth, measures 2X2 meters squared. It is one functional, organic looking spaceship.
