Incredible. Robot-like sculptures brilliantly built from old typewriters

Incredible. Robot-like sculptures brilliantly built from old typewriters

When I came across California based Artist Jeremy Mayer’s Tumblr account featuring his twisted, metallic creations I was downright awed. His work is not only incredible but combines my love of robots, sculpture and a man who can work with his hands.

Mayer disassembles old typewriters and builds brilliantly detailed sculptural creations entirely from old typewriter parts without glue, solder or welding. If that’s not impressive enough, not only are they really cool looking, but according to Mayer the sculptures are also anatomically correct.

See Mayer’s online portfolio here. Fan him on Facebook here.
