The Many Sliders of Photoshop CS4

I remember about a decade back when Adobe changed all the keyboard commands, which any power user lives by, to make them “unified,” ie, match Illustrator, an interface so blighted that instead of addressing its clumsiness, Adobe bought out its competition Freehand and destroyed it.
Most of the time I'd settle for products in the Adobe suite to work with each other, let alone other common programs. But what we get is far worse than inconsistency, it's “Adobe updater wants to…” upgrade Reader, which will make Indesign lose track of your serial number or stop working with Photoshop.
What's worse is their hubris. Remember the mess they made trying to add animated GIF89 capabilities?? What a little freebie did they couldn't emulate. And how many times they've screwed up simple lathe and extrusion 3D? Yet they want to add that bloat once again. It's time to introduce a new program, maybe even make it compatible with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. I thought that's what all this suite business was about, rather than requiring upgrades on products not used in order to get the ones needed.
