The Most Influential Search Engine Of All Time.
RankSpeed is a search and ranking tool that helps you find the best websites and products by doing a sentiment analysis on the Twittersphere / blogosphere. It analyzes the data in social media to rank results by any item or query entered as a keyword, plus a sentiment about that item. I entered ’search engine’ as the keyword, ‘influential’ as the sentiment, and ‘all time’ as the time frame.
For each result, RankSpeed shows the percentage of users who have expressed just that opinion and a list of those users with their tweets about the site / product. You can even enter several criteria to compare at once for example how “good”, “easy” and “effective” is a particular product. Any sentiment that you choose can be entered, so RankSpeed is also useful to avoid websites or products that are often associated with “problem”, “broken”, etc., i.e. negative sentiments.

Amazing, I hadn't even heard of topsy, its such a wonderful website!
Charles – Thanks for the reminder about Topsy – and indeed contextualizing it via Rankspeed as the “Most Influential Search Engine of All Time” was/is very convincing – I'm now using Topsy (and Rankspeed) more consciously and frequently I guess!
It just keeps getting better….
i think this is most popular site so every one flow this site!
That's really cool! Its interesting that Topsy is labeled as the “Most Influential Search Engine of All Time” – with it being powered solely by tweets and twitter trends. I've just started a tool called Buzzdock to amplify my google search results, and its pretty cool! I often find myself not even looking at the Google results which I think speaks volumes as to Google's reign over searches.
