Microsoft’s next Build conference is slated for March 30

We finally have a date and location for Microsoft’s next Build conference: March 30 in the usual location of San Francisco.

As the company’s largest developer event, expect so see more in the way of Windows 10, which was the focus of the nearly the entire event last year. Chances are this year will feature the rumored ‘Redstone’ update to the OS, which is likely to be the largest update to the OS yet.

That makes sense given Microsoft’s new ‘Windows as a service’ model – large updates will probably come on a yearly basis, similar to Apple’s current approach with OS X. If past events are any indication, preview builds of the OS will likely be announced around that time as well.

Aside from Windows 10 proper, Microsoft will likely feature HoloLens even more prominently than last time around, and maybe we’ll even hear about that Surface Phone everyone’s been talking about. There’ll might be more AI bots too, like the How-Old.net page that went viral last year.

No other details were revealed other than the date and location, but there’s a mailing list if you want to lean more as information becomes available.
