Microsoft is rolling out a system update to the Xbox One starting now and extending over the next few days, which includes features such as a progress bar showing you game saves and app updates, notifications that alert you to whenever friends sign in to Xbox Live, and silent rebooting after system updates.
Here’s the changelog for this system update:
Game and app saves and updates: A progress bar will show you the status of your game saves, and it’s now easier to tell what games and apps are being updated.
Friend improvements: You get notified when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live.
Kinect voice and motion improvements: These have been fine-tuned; for example, the gesture functionality has been updated to cut down on false positives on non-hand objects triggering gesture commands.
Better GameDVR video quality
Controller and headset adapter firmware updates: Audio static is reduced, while wireless connectivity sees improvements.
Silent reboot after system updates and system update on demand: If your console is in Instant On mode, you won’t need to power on your console after an update anymore. The update will take place automatically and return to standby once done.
