Developers who install Mango still bound by NDA, new features to come?

Developers who install Mango on their phones will still be under a non-disclosure agreement, according to WinRumors.

The developer agreement says that “by participating in this program, the developer agrees to not publish any content, screenshots or comments in any media in advance of the official launch of Windows Phone ‘Mango’.”

This is despite the NDA lifting several days ago for members of the press who received copies of Mango to test, such as The Next Web’s Alex Wilhelm, who wrote about his experience with the update here.

WinRumors suggests that Microsoft may be trying to curb public negative criticism from developers, but I don’t Microsoft is that naive. Given that the beans have been spilled by those who do it best, the inclusion of the confidentiality clause may suggest that there are still new, unannounced features coming to developer versions of Mango that Microsoft may be holding back to ramp up the buzz around the time of the official launch.
