If the images that we’re seeing coming out of the Microsoft Global Exchange event are any indication, then the answer is undoubtedly yes. First off, it pays to remember that we’ve seen a YouTube clip lately touting Microsoft’s “Be What’s Next” campaign. Then, there’s this:

Beyond the main Windows logo update, Engadget has also nabbed some images of the new logos for other properties as well:

I like them so much that they must be fake. Can’t imagine Microsoft picking such nice logos. ;-)
Personally I don’t like them and they don’t look very Microsoftesque.
It looks to me almost as though someone is trying to “Zune-ize” all of the MS logos. Not sure if I believe this is an official MS happening, especially given how ugly the new Xbox logo is, but the rest of them look pretty cool.
Could it be that Microsoft has hired Google’s graphic designer? Makes me think MS is going with the “less is more” attitude in it’s logos.
I have to admit, I do like the look (which makes me think it can’t be the case).
Bings shadow == packman
Nah, fortune cookie!

I like the Windows and Office logos, but not the others.
Even if they aren’t rebranding and these aren’t new logos, at least it got Microsoft into the news :-)
Could it be? Google bought Windows?
maybe they have realised that Apple are gettign too many columne iniches so they need to do somethign radical and non micorsoft, presenting exhit one! if you can’t beat them join them, i must admint the less is more works.
I’m an Apple fan boy, but these look great. Go MSoft!

I think the logos are much too blurred and I don’t like the shadow
I think they are blurry because they are photographed from a screen poorly. The shadow is there because in motion they are floating. The user above you supplied a video showing them in motion. :]
They look like the Silly Bandz version of Microsoft to me. I’m sure my 5 year old can’t wait to wear these on his wrist.
I drew a squiggle, am I a logo designer now?
Yes, and if you sell it you can call yourself a ‘professional logo designer’ too.
“Microsoft Windows… there’s nothing in there for you.”
