MSN Arabia is Microsoft’s portal to the MENA region containing around 35 main sections one of which is real-estate will be provided come Summer 2010 by Realestate.com.lb a leading Lebanese real-estate search provider.
The real-estate section which is currently being served results by UAE based PropertyFinder only providing results for that part of the woods. Realestate.com.lb announced that beginning summer 2010 signing a partnership deal with MSN Arabia to support the Lebanese real estate market.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
Ms. Onida Khoury, Sales & Marketing Manager, realestate.com.lb, said: “We are glad to sign such partnerships with an effective and efficient mean as MSN Arabia. This partnership will help boost the Lebanese real estate market by directing all search on MSN Arabia to realestate.com.lb and increase awareness about the website services including selling, buying, advertising, as well as connecting bankers’ financial companies, brokers, and many other industries on a global level.”
The only thing confusing me in all of this is the fact MSN Arabia, is why Microsoft’s portal to the Middle East and North Africa region provides a service from one country as appose to a service that would cover at least the majority of the online regional real estate market instead.
I’m not expert on real estate, but to tell me that I can only get results from one country in a portal with regional influence such as MSN Arabia I find is down right absurd. I’d love to hear the reasons, but I wouldn’t know who to contact first, would it be Microsoft Middle East? Or perhaps LinkonLine whom develop and maintain the site.
Either of which, I think MSN Arabia needs to do some serious soul searching, because currently it appears MSN Arabia is nothing more than a cheap online link rental service providing results from the highest bidder.
