VIVA has been chosen as the name of Bahrain’s third mobile services operator.
A Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) subsidiary, VIVA is getting ready to launch its commercial services in the coming weeks.
The name seems to be the new trend for STC subsidiaries operating in the region, as they’ve already used this name in their launch of VIVA Kuwait in 2008.
While I’m personally not a fan of vague names that are not even of the region, it definitely beats names like Etisalat, Mobily and Wataniya!
