Scandinavia's most important conference
Media Evolution The Conference
Who sets the agenda, what changes the playing field and how do we shape society from now on? This is the questions Sweden's Media Evolution The Conference will seek answers to in their 9th annual conference takes place in August.
It’s time we all start to think about how we can make a difference. Let’s acknowledge that what we do can actually make a better world. We believe all people, from all fields, have the power to make an impact – a techie just as much as a truck driver. Let the world see what good you can do with your power.
The Conference have a reputation of breaking new speakers. They put pride into not just having the usual suspects on stage 40 speakers travel from all the continents of the world and half of them are women.
This years speaker list include: Alexis Ohanian (Reddit), Anita Sarkeesian (Feminist Frequency), Malik Bendjelloul (Searching for Sugar Man), Lara Setrakian (Syria Deeply), Golden Krishna (Samsung), Kate Crawford (Microsoft Research) and Mike Dewar (The New York Times).
The Conference digs deep into what current human behaviors can tell us about the future of society and the media industries. They look at what new technologies we will be able to work with. On top of that they always pay much attention to how thought leaders and disrupters in the industry are doing things - in the end, ideas are not worth anything if they’re not brought into action. The sessions will look into topics such as big data, learning, growth hacking, non visual communication, online harassment, responsive web design, boredom, change making, tactility in a digital world and the dark side of innovation.
