It might be a little late for a white Christmas, but we still have time to enjoy the winter season, and everything that comes with it. You can now download our monthly digital magazine, for free, as usual, and read about snow, ice, skiing, snowboarding and all the gadgets you need to make the most use of all that snow.
TNW Magazine v0.12 is available to download now.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
TNW Magazine has a selection of music, movie trailers, books, apps and videos. The magazine has 100% unique content so no recycled stories republished from the blog. A few sponsors helped us put together this issue so this would be a great moment to thank US Unlocked and Snowciety:
The magazine is available for the iPad, iPad Retina, Android and iPhone.
Feature stories: ‘How new ski designs are speeding ip the learning curve’ by ski instructor Mark Gear from All Mountain Performance in Chamonix. ‘Pole Party – Life and Tech in Antartica’ by Josh Ong. ‘Meet the LED Snowboard’ by Martin Bryant. Besides that we have ‘the ultimate ski outfit’ and a selection of snow and ice movies collected Timan Rebel from Snowciety. Apart from that we have our regular items by 22Tracks and Kuvva and a lot more.
Not too long ago we announced more than 100.000 sessions per month. A session is someone opening the magazine and reading more than one page. You can understand why we are proud of this milestone. Our magazine is a low-budget endeavor with only one full-time designer, 2 part-time interns and a collection of contributing partners. Our competitors generally have a few dozen people working on their magazines and budgets that are easily 20 times as big as ours. Despite all of this we are doing well and are receiving almost only 5 star ratings in the Apple App store.
We currently sell a subscription for readers but that one is completely optional. So far we collected a total of $2,319.03 in donations through optional subscriptions, and although that is great you can imagine it doesn’t exactly cover our costs. Which brings us to advertising:
Our goal is still to make the magazine profitable through advertising. If you have a web service or an app or anything you want to promote I’d suggest you contact email@example.com and ask for our advertising deck. Advertising is more affordable than you might think and will reach a lot of people.
