Pinterest’s new ‘How-To’ pins make DIY easier to follow

Pinterest’s new ‘How-To’ pins make DIY easier to follow

Pinterest is now making it easier than ever to turn DIY envy into an actual project, announcing today a new Rich Pin that helps users actually see how things get accomplished step-by-step.

Called the “How-To” pin, you’ll be able to tap into one and see how everything gets done in detail for pins related to food and drink, fitness, hair and beauty, fitness, and DIY. These are really popular topics on the platform: according to Pinterest’s calculations, they encompass around 9.5 billion pins total.

These Rich pins will be done as brand partnerships with companies like Home Depot, Food.com, Style Me Pretty, Greatist and ELLE, and they will be available via search or visiting a brand’s profile.

The new pins will be available tomorrow in the U.S., France, UK and Germany on the web and Pinterest for Android. An update to iOS will come sometime in the future.
