August Access will allow employees from partner services into your home when you’re away

August Access will allow employees from partner services into your home when you’re away

Complementing it’s Smartlock, August is introducing August Access, a platform designed to let repairmen or delivery drivers into your home when you’re not around.

Rolling out today, August Access is still in beta. Interested Smartlock owners can sign up for Access via August’s iOS app.

As a platform, August Access works with other service providers like Handy to let cleaners into your home. If you’ve got a scheduled appointment time — or in the case of Handy, someone who will be in your home a set period of time — August Access grants them access.

The same situation could be handy if you’ve got a scheduled pickup, but won’t be there to open the door. August Access would grant access to the delivery driver for as long as the pickup window was scheduled.

The <3 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

August says it’s currently partnering with Sears, Postmates, Pro.com, Handy, Fetch, Shyp, BloomNation, Envoy, Rinse, HelloAlfred, Wag!, Pillow and Doorman for Access.
