The US is nearing its November 4th general election date, and keeping track of all the candidates and statistics on them can be a tiresome task. Microsoft wants to make your voting Tuesday a little easier this year with Bing Elections.
Basically, when you go to bing.com/election, you’ll see a hub taking advantage of the search engine’s data to give you news, predictions, poll locations and other relevant information on candidates and the voting process.
One of the cooler features is an interactive map that lets you see projections for congressional and gubernatorial elections. If you zoom into the map, you can check out how current polls or Bing’s own estimated results change based on the selected area. Results can be filtered by Senate, House, or gubernatorial races.
Microsoft also says as voting day approaches, the personalized “My Ballot” section on the right hand side of the page will tell you everything that will appear on your ballot, as well as the nearest locations for you to put in your vote. On election day, you’ll get real-time exit polls as well.
It’s a nifty hub that could be handy to collect and summarize information come election time, and perhaps help you avoid some of the usual data overload.
