Kickstarter adds search filters to help sort projects by location, category, popularity, and “magic” ...

Kickstarter today unveiled a new way to search and discover projects you might want to support. The company has added filtering to its platform so you can sort listings based on location, category, launch date, popularity, and relevant tags. Oh, and there’s apparently another option too — you can screen projects by “magic”, which will surface those ideas that are “bubbling up right now” across all categories and subcategories.

The company says that it has been testing Advanced Search for the past few weeks internally and now it’s time to let the public use it. Hopefully this will make it easier for someone to fund the next Pebble smartwatch or Hex copter.
