Healthy food delivery service Hasty rebrands as Zesty and launches its iOS app, starting in SF

Food delivery service Hasty is reaching a major milestone today, becoming generally available to the public. In honor of this achievement, it is also rebranding itself as Zesty as it aims to be recognized as the “Whole Foods of food delivery”. Users can download its iOS app now to request healthy meals to be delivered to them, a la GrubHub.

In private beta since June, the startup-now-known-as-Zesty enables users to order healthy food to eat, no matter if you’re on a Paleo, Vegetarian, Low Carb, or Gluten Free diet. You pay for whatever you order and meals can either be delivered or picked up. The app also displays nutritional facts so you know exactly how healthy it is.

The company was founded by two Oxford mathematicians, David Langer and Chris Hollindale, who believe they can tap into the $250 billion takeout and delivery market in the US, simply by appealing to those that want to eat healthier.

Although the app is now publicly available, Zesty is only servicing those in San Francisco. To help kick things off, the company says it will give away a free meal every 15 minutes via its Twitter account on Monday, 11am-11pm PST.
