Square Market storefront owners can now share their products anywhere on the Web with embeddable items

Square Market storefront owners can now share their products anywhere on the Web with embeddable items

Square is well known for its card readers and mobile apps that give businesses the ability to accept credit card payments in-store. The company is also tackling the e-commerce space with Square Market though and today, it’s extending the platform further with embeddable product listings.

On a Square Market item page, storefront managers and potential customers will now see a small “<>” icon next to the existing share options for Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. Hitting that button will copy all of the HTML needed to create an embed widget on a website, WordPress or Tumblr blog.

It’s a simple tool, but one that should increase the exposure and subsequent sales for Square Market storefront owners. That in turn will drive more users and general business to the platform, increasing Square’s profits. It’s a win-win situation really.
