Find Scoutmob’s free mobile deals now on your Foursquare app

Find Scoutmob’s free mobile deals now on your Foursquare app

While it launched with the daily deals herd in January 2010, the Atlanta-based Scoutmob is one of the most-respected startups in the scene. The company now operates in 13 U.S. cities and differentiates its frictionless mobile deals platform with local coupons ranging from 50-100% off with an emphasis on restaurants and personal services.

Starting today, Foursquare users in the U.S. can find and redeem Scoutmob deals within the Foursquare app. And just like Foursquare’s own specials, Scoutmob’s are conveniently free; no credit card or up-front purchase necessary. Expect deals like “50% off” for free at your local Greek restaurant.

“Of all the deal integrations we’ve done, the Scoutmob partnership most closely aligns with our own Specials format, where no payment is required to redeem deals spontaneously” said Tristan Walker, Director of Business Development at Foursquare. “We are thrilled to partner with a brand like Scoutmob whose mission of helping people become better locals so strongly supports our own goals as a company.”

The folks at Foursquare seem really excited about the partnership and getting Scoutmob’s locally curated deals on its app. And this is a huge deal for the Atlanta-based startup that launched almost two years ago this coming January. The thing is, according to Scoutmob, it was actually Foursquare that sought out the relationship. Perhaps, it piqued Foursquare’s interest when in mid-September, Scoutmob partnered with Foodspotting to launch “Mobspotting” deals on its mobile platform.

Check out an example deal below. While I could only find one deal in a 2 mile radius (in NYC, mind you), I expect the company will be loading up the foursquare app with more deals in the future. Be on the lookout!
