Exclusively. In follows Gilt Group’s Jetsetter into the travel space

Exclusively. In follows Gilt Group’s Jetsetter into the travel space

Exclusively. In, a members-only flash sale site, launched in June 2010 with headquarters in New York City and New Delhi. The e-commerce warehouse sells clothing imported from India like colorfully accented dresses, saris, jewelry and masala tees. Exclusively. In featured over 200 different vendors in the first four months of sales and boosted their Facebook Likes by cleverly targeting fans of the novel, Eat Pray Love.

“We’re bringing the highest level of Indian design and workmanship to the world, which was previously only accessible to a select few who could visit India multiple times a year,” Exclusively.In co-founder and CEO Sunjay Guleria said last November. “We’ve created our own ‘passage to India’, connecting the global fashion consumer with Indian fashion in a simple, fun and intuitive online shopping experience.”

The online shopping site not only looks like Gilt Group, it also acts like Gilt Group with members-only, time-limited sales offering heavily discounted high end designer threads. And today, it’s taking yet another nod from Gilt Group and announcing its new Jetsetter-like travel offerings. Exclusively. In will be offering a variety of destinations and experiences focusing on Asia, including hotels and resorts from India to Thailand and experiences like Indian safaris to royal hospitality stays.

Its first travel sale is “From Palaces to Paradise” offering members four distinctive itineraries including a stay at Fateh Garh hotel, a heritage hillside boutique hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan; a stay at the Singiwana Jungle Lodge located in Kanha National Park, Madya Pradesh, India; a stay at Neeleshwar Hermitage – a holistic beachside resort in Kerala, India; and Villa Michaela, a holiday villa located in Koh Samui, Thailand.

“We listened to our customer base and the consistent message was an interest in finding a unique way to explore Asia with luxury accommodations but at savvy prices,” said Sunjay Guleria, CEO of Exclusively.In.

The travel space is undoubtedly hot right now with startups like Jetsetter, Gogobot, Wanderfly and Hipmunk giving consumers an entirely new way to experience the process of travel. With a destination niche in e-commerce, it’s savvy for Exclusively. In to jump on board as well. The site recently became the largest online Indian apparel retailer in the U.S., and has been growing in members by 50% month-to-month.

In November of last year, the company announced a $2.8 million round of institutional and angel funding from Accel Partners India and Helion Venture Partners.
