Google Drive is making it easier to find files via a new search feature

Google Drive will now find your files easier. With a new search function, you can now look for files using granular parameters like file type or words contained therein.

In addition, you can also search for a file by naming its owner, the date it was modified or who it may have been shared with.

The new feature is coming to Android, iOS and the Web. If you’re on iOS, Google is also allowing deep linking, so you can perform the search right from the iOS search bar.

As Google is wont to do, this change is happening over the next several weeks, so be on the lookout for an app update.
