Chrome for Android has a hidden search feature that suggests answers to questions as you type

Hidden inside Google’s Chrome for Android app is an experimental feature that will instantly display suggestions to various queries while you’re typing them into the address bar.

To recap, these are the answers that Google would normally display right at the top of its search results. Posing the question “how old is Elon Musk?” will trigger a visual card to be displayed at the top of the page with relevant information.

By enabling a specific flag in Chrome for Android (detailed below), these morsels of information will be auto-suggested while you type. So before you’ve even pressed “Go” on your smartphone or tablet’s keyboard, you’ll have an answer.

OMG! Chrome discovered the hidden feature, which can be toggled on by opening a new tab and entering “chrome://flags”. Just scroll to the “Answers in Suggest” option, tap once and choose the “Enabled” option.

Not all of the answers that normally feature in Google’s Knowledge Graph are appearing at the moment, but a handful are live and we suspect the number will increase if it becomes enabled for all Chrome users by default.
