Google today updated Google Search for Android with a very useful Google Now improvement: cards will now stay loaded even when you lose service. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play.

Instead of merely complaining that there’s no internet connection, Google Now will merely say “Content was last updated x hours ago” followed by your cards. This tweak will be particularly useful for those who commute on the subway or in general often find themselves without cellular service. It’s frankly surprising this needed to be added as a feature and wasn’t there from the start.
