Google partners with London’s Barbican for DevArt exhibition – and there’s one spot left for you

Google has partnered with the Barbican Centre in London to host an exhibition of ‘DevArt’ this summer and is running a competition to fill the last space with an up-and-coming developer artist.

Google says that “modern artists use technology for inspiration, inventing ways to give life to code, letting it spill from the screen and onto the canvas”, and it’s this that is being used for the basis of the term “DevArt”.

The winning candidate will produce a work of art through code that will sit as part of the Barbican’s wider Digital Revolution exhibition alongside the work of other renowned interactive artists while the show is open between July 3 and September 14. In order to be in with a chance, all you need to do is submit a project on the DevArt site.
