Google Chrome for iOS update brings autofill, syncing your info between PC and mobile

Google Chrome for iOS update brings autofill, syncing your info between PC and mobile

iphone5_autofillIf you’re an avid Chrome user on the desktop, things will soon get that little bit easier when using the iOS incarnation, as Google has announced that it’s bringing autofill to its browser on iPhone and iPad.

This news comes some seven months after Chrome for Android was updated with autofill and password syncing. It effectively means it’s faster to complete online forms, with all your data synced across from the desktop.

This, of course, means you will have to be signed-in with the same account across platforms, but it saves a lot of time filling in the same information over and over – such as your surname, telephone, number and similar details.

In related news, the Internet giant has also revealed it’s testing new autofill features for Chrome on Android too. While it’s still in its early stages, with Betabrand on board for the testing phase, your saved autofill data will be used to make it much quicker to check out when buying things online. This will apply to Google Wallet for US consumers too.

Both updates should be arriving in their respective app stores from today.
