Google has put up several behind the scenes looks at the making of Street View collections for noteworthy locations like the world’s tallest building and the Canadian Arctic.
The Burj Khalifa and Iqaluit are the first two to get multimedia presentations, though Google has posted photo-only pages for Mt. Everest, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, the Amazon Basin, Kennedy Space Center, Galapagos Islands and Venice.
Last month, the company released Views, a new community site for Android users to post photo spheres from around the world. Google plans to release more backstage peeks at documenting the world’s landmarks to the Street View Special Collections section of Views.
