Google+ started allowing you to share cirlces with the public, and it’s a great feature, especially if you’d like to follow a group of photographers or geeks. But there’s a bug that makes it a little difficult to unfollow said circle after you delete it.
After checking my Google+ stream today I was presented with an item from someone who wasn’t in any of my existing circles. This gentleman, who works at Google, was a part of a Google team public circle I followed yesterday. And then deleted at approximately 7pm PT last night. Basically, people that were in that circle are randomly showing up in my stream as if they’re a part of my circles still. And they’re not.
I’ve made a public post on Google+ about the issue, and have reached out to the Google+ team. Hopefully this is just a hiccup, because it’s quite annoying and has happened to me 3 times now in the past half hour.
Some people are saying it takes a while to “propagate circles”, but this should be corrected soon. Beware of following and deleting circles!
